Hi there! A while back I went over what I thought the top 10 best and worst RGB episodes were. Here, I'm not talking about good or bad, just... weird. And I know RGB is already a bit of a weird show (and we wouldn't have it any other way), but these episodes in particular strike me as the absolute strangest.
10 - No One Comes to Lupusville
This episode had pretty standard Halloween-type antagonists, namely vampires and werewolves. However, what made it weird was that it left a whole lot of questions unanswered. We never learn if the vampire/werewolf war will ever end, and if so, how it will end, and we never learn if the vampires who claimed to be friendly actually were, or if they would have betrayed the Ghostbusters.
There were also a bunch of strange people who could have been dwarfs or giants, or they could have just been oddly-sized people. One of them (whose name is Lyta according to the Wiki), I couldn't tell if she was a short woman or a young girl. And she seemed to have a crush on Egon, but was she good, evil, or neither, because when all the Ghostbusters passed out, she only seemed to be worried about her crush and didn't care about the others?
On the whole, this is definitely one of the most mysterious episodes.
9 - Banshee Bake a Cherry Pie
This episode involves an antagonist named Shanna, who is a banshee, which in this universe means a shapeshifting, female, Irish demon who can cause chaos by singing.
In the Ghostbusters cartoon universe, banshees can also charm humans into falling in love with them, which is what Shanna ends up doing to Peter, causing him to have a trippy imagination sequence of becoming a pop star alongside her, and then Egon breaks the fourth wall to remind us that it's all in Peter's head.
8 - Poultrygeist
Lots of fans have pointed out that whenever something freakish happens to any Ghostbuster on RGB, it's usually Egon, and this is one such episode, where he's turned into a werechicken.
They create a soup to cure him, but are missing an ingredient called "chickenbane", so he ends up with a chicken's body and a human's head and speaking with random clucks between his sentences.
Luckily, not only is he eventually cured, but so is Maude, the woman who was also bitten by a werechicken.
7 - Night Game
This episode involves the good and evil spirits fighting over somebody's soul, which would be pretty standard for a supernatural-themed show, but the twist here is that they're playing baseball to settle it.
And it's a crazy version of baseball, too, where everyone must pick a side (though it's never revealed which side the umpire is on), and evil is allowed to cheat, since that is the nature of evil, but if good tries to cheat, then they automatically switch to the evil side.
The spirits also don't reveal whose soul it is they're playing for, until the end, where they admit it's Peter's.
6 - Hanging by a Thread
This episode reveals that the Fates are a thing in this universe, with the premise being that demons are trying to steal their shears so they can control the universe.
In this episode, the Netherworld also seems to be more Ancient Greek inspired than in other episodes, with the River Styx making an appearance.
5 - Something's Going Around
As I've already noted, this is one of my favourite episodes, and part of what makes it so entertaining is how weird it is. A demon disguises himself as a doctor and gives the Ghostbusters potato chips that give them bizarre symptoms when around ghosts, which he deliberately misdiagnoses as an allergic reaction.
At first, they just become drowsy and feverish, but then crazy things start happening like they keep growing, shrinking, breaking into random dancing, growing stripes, etc.
4 - Egon's Dragon
This episode had more of a fantasy vibe than most other episodes, in that it dealt with... well, a dragon. Specifically, one that was artificially created from music played by a wizard, who was Egon's ancestor.
The dragon thinks that Egon is Zedekiah (the ancestor) so he calls him "dada" and starts behaving like essentially a cross between a toddler and a giant, flying dog towards him.
Eventually, it's determined that music isn't the salient part of the dragon's being; it's the vibrations caused by the music, so they make a frequency to put the dragon to sleep.
3 - Doctor, Doctor
It's not just Egon who has the bizarre transformation in this episode; here, it's all of the Ghostbusters. They bust a ghost in a lab, but accidentally get some phlebotinum spilled on them, which makes them sick, and then makes goo come out of their bodies.
This goo then grows all over the guys and becomes so plentiful that it requires them to use wheelchairs, then it forms body parts, and Slimer sucks it off them (because it's attracted to ectoplasm), where it forms into a monster.
2 - Kitty-Cornered
This episode sees a magical cat, who was a witch's familiar, and its name is Twinkie. It falls asleep and grants Slimer's wishes in its sleep, the reason it isn't granting the guys' wishes is because familiars can only grant the wishes of supernatural beings, not humans.
Among the things Slimer wishes up are bringing the food in the fridge to life (which tries to -- I'm not kidding -- force-feed itself to Louis Tully), the fridge becoming a toy robot, and a whole lot of Christmas stuff like a tree and snow.
1 - Chicken, He Clucked
This episode has a reputation for being the weirdest, and it's easy to see why. A man named Cubby loses his mind due to living next door to a chicken restaurant, so he develops an irrational hatred for chickens.
Such an irrational hatred, in fact, that he literally makes a deal with a demon to rid the entire world of them, and that's the problem the Ghostbusters have to solve.
Anyone just have the biggest crush on Egon Spengler or is that just me?
Today is the birthday of actor Paul Rudd who portrays Gary Grooberson in Ghostbusters Afterlife and Ghostbusters Frozen Empire!
🎂 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PAUL! 🎂
I think they should dedicate the ghostbusters current movie to Harold Ramis
Who ya gonna call? The original Ghostbusters movie, released in 1984, remains one of the most beloved comedy films of all time. Directed by Ivan Reitman and starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson, the movie blends supernatural thrills with sharp humor, creating a cultural phenomenon that still captivates audiences today.
The story follows three eccentric scientists — Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, and Egon Spengler — who start a ghost-catching business in New York City. Along the way, they face off against spectral entities, ancient gods, and a towering Stay Puft Marshmallow Man in their quest to save the city from paranormal destruction.
With its witty script, memorable performances, and unforgettable theme song, Ghostbusters became an instant classic. The film's mix of comedy, science fiction, and action inspired countless spin-offs, including cartoons, video games, and multiple sequels.
But here's a question for all the fans out there:
If you could join the Ghostbusters team, which piece of their ghost-catching equipment would you want to use — the Proton Pack, Ghost Trap, or P.K.E. Meter — and why?
I got the game second hand last December, i've only one acheivement left, to 100% all ghosts, and I did that, but it isn't working.
Is this a problem other people have had?
The jump smack from Ghostbusters 2 I didn't find a gif of this online so I made one
Enjoy
For me it is that melody and phoebe only had a friendship connection and they were not romantic. I do think it should not be shipped but if you want to ship it that is fine. :)

Although I've wanted to take on it since I started scratchbuilding vehicles at (about) 1:64 scale - being a fan of the first two films and having GB1 on DVD - seeing Afterlife last month inspired me to do it earlier than I thought I would. This Ecto-1 has a working front light bar controlled by a PCB from a string light that allows LEDs (or other lights) to flash or stay solid; the latter option is good for taking stills or stop motion, so I didn't disable it. It's powered by a custom 4.5V (3x LR44) battery pack wired to the PCB, and the light bar is made of two LEDs soldered to each other. However, the rear one is a dummy and they flash simultaneously even if not wired together, since the IC(s) on the board can't make them alternate. I originally thought to disguise the battery pack as a ghost trap inside, until I chose to mount it on the roof as part of the rack. If I'd known what the blue tubes on the side were for when I built it, I could've gone with the trap option since they're made of real copper wires. Demo of the lights in action

I just released this video featuring clips from an interview with Erik Burnham.
Highlights from My Interview with Erik Burnham
Was Boo York just part of the usual Netherworld, or was it a parallel universe?
Why was there no Peoplebuster Winston?
What was the Boo Yorkers' obsession with Egon? (He was on the "no" sign, their two vehicles had his name in them, and the barber scared the customers with a photo of him)
I just found these on google.
1 is in the movie (Huge funny face/the happy landlord)
The rest are just random balloons that didn't made it into the movie, if that's what these contempt art are for
3 or 4 are based of real balloons by macy's.
Is this a deleted scene or a extend scene?
I watch this movie before and never seeing this before.
This in no way, revolves around any of the mechanics I just want help with the plot.
Christmas is right around the corner and I'm hosting for family and friends to run a Christmas themed Ghostbusters RPG game and I want some help figuring out the technical jargon for describing the ghosts I have in mind.
Essentially they're going to go into this big manner filled with six ghosts. I got four category 4 ghosts that is Jacob marley, Waldorf Marley and Statler Marley, essentially Jacob Marley from the Christmas carol book and the two Muppets that reprized that role I figured that would be fun.
Only issue is I don't know how to make the other spirits of Christmas work well.
I don't really know what to make of the past and present Spirit or how I describe them but I definitely know I want the Ghost of Christmas future to be a category 7 of some kind.
If any Ghostbusters out there can give me some advice I would definitely appreciate it
Happy thanksgiving 2024 to all of you, ghostbusters fans.
