This is a question I am sure someone has asked at some point but I am curious if anyone knows the answer, how come for a movie called ghostbusters the main threat of the first movie is an ancient flesh and blood deity? That part just strikes me as odd, if I was seeing the movie for the first time I would have expected the ghost of some real life serial killer or something.

A while back it was questioned where the locations of R&D Room and Darkroom are in the firehouse. While I was researching in vain to figure that out, I have however come to a conclusion that the R&D Room and Darkroom are connected. Not sure if it is clear enough to add to the wiki, and I'm still havn't even figured out if this was filmed in the LA Firehouse or on a soundstage, but here is something.
The main connections are the paper dispenser and shelf with metallic things above the toilet in the Darkroom. The other aspects connecting the rooms is the red metal bar (fire axe?) and the broken door (that door isn't looking good behind Ray there). Please note the collage needs to be clicked on to see the bottom showing the comparing of images for the red metal bar.
Yes, there is a continuity, as the door is broke behind Ray in the R&D Room scene. Another funny issue it within the Darkroom scene, the lock active on the door, but is shown in the room with Ray and Egon, not outside the door. It is a plothole anyways as that lock is a easy open, when then mean Winston would have used it instead on the other side of the door.

I heard on the radio in Dana's house, "the boys in gray," while referring to the ghostbusters. I thought the suit was beige. What do you guys think
The wiki says Spengler swears twice in the first movie. When does he swear?
It's because it didn't suck you in. That's right the story didn't get you interested and how do I know this because I read all the scripts.

I've recently been rewatching Ghostbusters II and I noticed something odd: at the beginning, a woman states that the world would end on 2016. Well, coincidentally, in real world's 2016, Ghostbusters: Answer the Call was released and, let's face it, who didn't think the end of the world was at hand when that movie can out?
It is commonly stated that the second movie takes place 5 years after the events of the first movie, but this is not accurate. In GB1 , a banner on City Hall indicates that the year is 1983. In GB2, the calendar on Dana's apartment wall says it's November 1989. 6 years, not 5.

I recently re-watched ghostbusters 2 and remember the rumours that Eddie Murphy was meant to be in the film. Pretty sure he wasn’t but then saw this extra in the background and wondered if he filmed a secret cameo. He probably didn’t but why would this extra be wearing sunglasses inside? I can’t upload a picture but it’s in the scene where the dock workers ring into the police that the titanic has just docked
How great is the Stay puft marshmallow man ???
