American Dad!

American Dad! is an adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane about CIA agent Stan Smith and his home life with doting wife Francine, liberal daughter Hayley, and socially awkward teenage son Steve. Also living in the family's Langley Falls, Virginia home are Klaus, a goldfish with the brain of an East German Olympic ski jumper, and Roger, an escaped alien from Area 51, who Stan houses in defiance of his employer due to owing Roger a "life debt".

• "The American Dad After School Special" (September 17, 2006, Season 2) - While on the phone talking to someone, Steve says that the Ghostbusters DVD box set came out. (At timecode 14:30)

• "Roy Rogers McFreely" (March 8, 2009, Season 4) - Hayley takes off her coat to flash a protest symbol, but it turns out to be the Ghostbusters II logo, a mistake she blames on smoking salvia. Roger then sings a second of the song "Ghostbusters".

• "Stanny Tendergrass" (January 29, 2012, Season 7) - At 7:04, Roger asks Steve why he's "dressed like Peter Venkman". Later, at 16:50, Stan asks Steve why he's "dressed like Winston Zeddemore". Both Roger and Stan confuse Steve's beige groundskeeper jumpsuit for a Ghostbusters uniform.

• "The Bitchin' Race" (July 31, 2017, Season 12) - Roger, in the persona of Yeager Chillax, and Johnny Bananas drop out of the reality show "The Bitchin' Race" once they realize they won't be the stars then go to a karaoke bar in Bangkok, Thailand. Later, Roger's song choice of "Ghostbusters" comes on and goes to sing it. Roger and Johnny eventually sing the song on the show "Thai Idol".

• "Family Plan" (August 7, 2017, Season 12) - One of Francine Smith's adopted children is named Slimer. Slimer is drinking from a juice box and wearing a green onesie.

• "Fantasy Baseball" (April 25, 2019, Season 14) - Stan goes down to the basement to tell Steve and his friends to keep it down so he can watch the baseball game in peace. He incorrectly refers to Snot as "Slimer".

• "Z.O.I.N.C.S." (October 30, 2023, Season 18) - At 9:20, Stan goes over "Which Ghosts Ain't We Afraid Of?". Later at 19:41, mug shots of a ghost resembling Slimer are shown.

• "The Girl Who Cried Space Jam" (January 27, 2025, Season 19) - Hayley performs a demon summoning to prove she is a devil worshiper and not a poseur. She succeeds in summoning Xnzux, archduke of interdimensional space hell, but learns she must face him in a challenge decided by her first utterance like in Ghostbusters. Hayley says Space Jam. She then learns if she loses the game, Xnzux will drag Langley to space hell. However, he backs out of it to prove she is just a poseur and didn't one part of the summoning: slaughtering a fox.
