Anne Lawson[2] was an official working for those who ran the Thanksgiving Day Parade and developed into romantic interest for Peter Venkman.

In an old warehouse on the Upper West Side, Anne checked in on Harlan's crew. As they discussed the warehouse's history, Anne became more and more uneasy. On the day of the parade, Anne looked as Peter shot down the Murray the Mantis float. When a powerful entity manifested, she climbed aboard Ecto-1 as it vacated the parade. She informed the Ghostbusters about the float and they began to run calculations that only spelled big trouble. When the police arrived to arrest the Ghostbusters, Anne refused to let them take all the blame. She later witnessed the Ghostbusters and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man defeat Murray.
