Dead Man's Chest Issue 4 Review
Ghostbusters: Dead Man's Chest
Issue: Issue #4
Publisher: Dark Horse Comics
Release Date: September 3, 2025
The final issue of Ghostbusters: Dead Man's Chest brings the Spengler's and their allies to Captain Kidd's mansion in the Financial District for the big showdown. It's no surprise there's gonna be some busting the finale but there are some surprises for the Spengler's and well, a big one for Kidd. All in all, the Spengler Team's first year in New York comes to an exciting conclusion!
With all the main team and guest stars in this arc, David Booher manages to give everybody a fun beat and some one liners. Booher also came up with a fun gimmick for the Ghostbusters in the mansion but due to the 20 page format, it is noticeable he had to get…
Dead Man's Chest Issue 3 Review
Ghostbusters: Dead Man's Chest
Issue: Issue #3
Publisher: Dark Horse Comics
Release Date: August 6, 2025
The penultimate issue of Ghostbusters: Dead Man's Chest opens with pirate ghosts all over Manhattan causing mischief while Phoebe and Sammy locate where Captain Kidd's house used to be in the Financial District and... it's not your typical scary haunted castle reveal. Being the third of four issues, you would be correct in assuming Issue #3 is essentially the calm before the storm. It is a character-focused issue: our parent-child arcs, Lucky and Trevor continue to be a highlight of the series, and we get some clear answers about some of our new characters and naturally for the second-to-last issue, don't blink when you come to the final pa…
Real Ghostbusters A Visual History Review
The Real Ghostbusters: A Visual History
Book: The Real Ghostbusters: A Visual History
Publisher: Dark Horse Comics
Release Date: July 8, 2025
After the first Ghostbusters movie released in theaters in 1984, arguably the next biggest contribution to the longevity of the franchise was an animated series called The Real Ghostbusters which aired on television from 1986 to 1991. It spun off into various forms of print, video games, apparel, food, and other merchandise. It notably got released in 2009 with a DVD series set from Time Life with a plethora of interviews, commentary tracks, featurettes, storyboards, and scripts. It got a nice mention in Ghostbusters: The Ultimate Visual History in 2015. But The Real Ghostbusters never had its own versio…
Dead Man's Chest Issue 2 Review
Ghostbusters: Dead Man's Chest
Issue: Issue #2
Publisher: Dark Horse Comics
Release Date: July 2, 2025
After a small delay, Ghostbusters: Dead Man's Chest continues with its second issue and it's well worth the wait as the action and mystery escalate as the recurring family dysfunction theme begins to expand and get complicated. Issue #2 opens with Trevor and Lucky's "friendiversary" being disrupted by a giant ghost kraken at a popular tourist destination. David Booher's writing and pacing continues to excel in this second mini-series. Trevor and Lucky get a much needed focus and spotlight. It was amusing to see how they're opposites of each other. Lucky tends to be spontaneous and ad hoc but Trevor is detail-oriented and likes having a plan. …

Ghostbusters: Dead Man's Chest is the second comic book mini-series from Dark Horse that serves as a canon tie-in to the original movie continuity. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Blu-Ray Release Review
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
Studio: Sony Pictures, Ghost Corps
Release Date: Digital - May 7, 2024, 4K, Blu-ray, DVD - June 25, 2024
The following review is only for the Blu-ray/DVD/Digital home entertainment release and not the actual movie itself. Starting with presentation, the Blu-ray case cover is reminiscent of theatrical poster variants posted in the lead up to the theatrical release (but the 4K and Blu-ray uses new art by artist Cryssy Cheung of the Ghostbusters in their parkas facing Garraka and Wal-Mart's exclusive is a pop art rendition by artist Bella Grace, respectively). Product pages online depict the Blu-ray cover featuring the original team and new team in front of the New York Public Library but actual release's cover has th…
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire opinion.
An action packed movie with a lot of fun and nostalgia, with pretty good plot. It didn't deserved the hate it got.
