For better or worse, Dan Aykroyd stated on Britain’s Channel 4 (Sunday June 4th, 2017):
"Paul Feig made a good movie and had a superb cast and plenty of money to do it. We just wish he had been more inclusive to the originators. It cost everyone as it is unlikely Kristen, Leslie, Melissa and Kate will ever reprise their roles as Ghostbusters which is sad."

Major update! Check out the blog "The Real Ghostbusters, and Slimer too; Call Sheets Project" for details. (3/20/2019)
It was decided in a private, a while back that the wiki would try to address voice talent credits, so here we are. This blog is a good place to talk about the guideline and the submission process and also the cleanup.
First of all, the guidelines themselves. It is a rather long read, but it was important to try to cover all the bases possible. New submissions may be added to the talk page for said guidelines.Read more >
Two major milestones to report. The first is that both Mrmichaelt and Devilmanozzy have received Ghost Corps Cadet pins along with a letter and free Classic Ecto Minis Blind Bag (by Mattel). Both letters thank staff of Ghostbusters Wiki for dedication and support of the brand. Both letters by Eric Reich (Executive to Ghost Corps).
Second is the 5,000 article count milestone that was reached by Mrmichaelt with the article "Jean l'Ecorcheur", which he made while doing his run of edits for Ghostbusters International #5. Many thanks again to Mrmichaelt for covering the IDW series.Read more >
I haven't seen the movie and to be honest I really am on the fence about seeing it because one it just doesn't look that good to me. I want to give it a chance, but man those commercials were terrible. I would like to know what you fellow wikia users think. Is it worth seeing? Was it as bad as the ads made it look? Let me know in the comments.Read more >
"Ghosts From Our Past Both Literally & Figuratively: The Study of the Paranormal" by Erin Gilbert and Abby L. Yates, with Andrew Shaffer is a tie-in book to the upcoming Ghostbusters movie. Written in-universe, this is a revised edition of a book written by Erin and Abby years before they became Ghostbusters, when they just graduated from college with their bachelor's degrees, intended to render all other books in the field of parapsychology obsolete. Things didn't go so well and their friendship ended as a result of it. Fast forward a bit, after the events of "Ghostbusters," and now they've updated and re-organized with what they learned to be fact. The book will be on sale June 28.
"Ghosts From Our Past" starts off with quotes about the b…Read more >

Wikia has a lovely new blog to read on Community Central "Prototype for a new article layout".
Here We Go Again... This is another major changes type of thing. It has some positives and negatives. Shall I list them?! I did so later in blog.
Yeah. After scrolling past the "Recent wiki activity" section, the text area gains over 100 pixels horizontally, and with padding on the left and right of 240 pixels combined.
Yeah, there is major issue. "Recent wiki activity" section is now right in the way of the bio. This reduces the area seen of the bio at the top of the screen to around 65 pixels vertically. So there be what sucks.
Oh the thing with buttons on the left... Yeah that thing.
The Typography is the replacing: "Contents" which is the headings…
