The Bouncing Buddy is a harmless, small being that can be used as a trampoline if jumped on. In some places, particularly the Castle level, you do have to be careful in relying on this guy - he shuffles back and forth along the floor and if you hit him at the wrong place or time, you can get flung into a swinging trap.
