Castle Dunkeld[1] is a modest castle located on 640 acres of land near the Village of Dunkeld in Argyllshire, Scotland.[2]

History

Andrew McMillan owned Castle Dunkeld until his death in the 1980s. Unwilling to will the castle to his freeloading kinfolk, Andrew placed a condition in his will.[3] The first to exorcise the castle of the Keystone Ghost would inherit the castle and title "Duke of Dunkeld." Andrew named his distant nephew Ray Stantz as the first to try.[4][5] The Ghostbusters arrived at the castle and busted the ghost. However, that caused 723 ghosts to arise and reenact the Battle of Dunkeld. Ultimately, Ray trapped them all in modified garbage trucks. He decided to hand over the castle to the village of Dunkeld and McMillan's kin could live at the castle if they paid rent.[6]
