The Chinatown Client is a middle-aged Chinese-American man who hired the Ghostbusters after the Sedgewick Hotel bust.

Primary CanonEdit

As a last minute gift, the client gave two roast chickens to Peter Venkman and Ray Stantz after they finished a bust in Chinatown. They obliged and bowed to the client.

IDW ComicsEdit

The proprietor called the Ghostbusters when the ghost of Phyllis Hasskamp, a former food critic at the Times, manifested in the Tai Hong Lau Restaurant after some remodeling was completed and the menu was changed. [1] [2] The owner claimed the menu changed because no one was buying Greek Fusion anymore. [3] Hasskamp overturned tables and threw food everywhere. Peter Venkman, Winston Zeddemore, and Kylie Griffin arrived. They and the owner hid behind some propped up tables while she threw several cooked ducks. The owner couldn't believe it was Hasskamp since in life she was kind to the restaurant. She proclaimed "No stars!" repeatedly. A duck hit the owner in the face, knocked his glasses off, and he fell flat on his back. Peter opened fire but Hasskamp went through the floor and the proton stream nailed a table. The owner yanked on his arm and asked him to stop damaging his restaurant but Peter insisted she moved. Winston ushered him away from Peter. Peter used himself as bait and pretended to love the food then Winston and Kylie trapped Hasskamp.
