Ghostbusters: Back in Town 1 is the first of a four part canon mini-series by Dark Horse Comics that bridges the gap between the Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire movies.
Plot[]
A year and a half after the events of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, the Ghostbusters are officially back in business and headed to where it all began: New York City! Callie, Gary, Trevor, and Phoebe are moving into the Firehouse and ready to take on the Spengler family business...or are they? Ghostbusting on top of changing family dynamics has a way of going awry––and that's exactly what one paranormal force is counting on. See what the Big Apple has in store for the latest generation of Ghostbusters with the first installment of an all-new series that bridges the gap between Ghostbusters: Afterlife and the upcoming sequel![1][2]

On November 16, 2023, it was announced the title of the series was "Ghostbusters: Back in Town" and it would run for four issues. Issue #1 is set to release on March 27, 2024. It will be written by David Booher, colors are by Mildred Louis, and letters are by Comicraft's Jimmy Betancourt. Kyle Lambert will provide the main cover with a variant cover by Steve Morris. The description of the series is "Set after Ghostbusters: Afterlife, the miniseries sees Callie, Gary, Trevor, and Phoebe moving to New York City to take over the Ghostbusters business in the iconic Firehouse. But shifting family dynamics and paranormal activity may make it a harder job than it sounds."[3]
On March 5, 2024, during an interview, Blue Delliquanti teased the scale of Firehouse is explored in the first issue.[4]
