Ghostbusters: Dead Man's Chest 2 is the second issue of a second four part canon mini-series by Dark Horse Comics that bridges the gap between the Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire movies.

On February 21, 2025, Issue #2 was revealed in June solicits. It is set to release on June 25, 2025 with covers by Brian Hurtt and Chogrin. The logline reveals a ghost Kraken is one of the threats the Ghostbusters are dealing with while the rest of the crew deals with personal problems and tech issues. Ray reveals the secret history of Captain Kidd.[2]
On March 22, 2025, it was reported the release date was pushed to July 2, 2025.[3]
