The De-Possessor [1] is a proton device designed to extract a possessing ghost from its host.

History

Jillian Holtzmann was inspired to create the De-Possessor from Rowan North's possession of Abby Yates in the Mercado Hotel incident. [2] She designed it to reach in and separate the essence of the host and the ghost. [3] Holtzmann used it on Abby to wrangle Doctor Kruger. She succeeded but Kruger attacked and drained them. Ray Stantz of the prime dimension later heard of the De-Possessor and wanted to check it out. He was curious as to how it was calibrated so that it wouldn't interfere with the soul of the host body but couldn't get an answer out of Holtzmann.[4]

But it's a bit tricky... gotta be sure you get the right one...don't want to yank Abby out of her own body... that would be bad."
