The destabilizer was used in the episode Egon's Ghost on Arzun and Tolay, both netherworld demons.
Function and Use
Designed to destabilize demons so that they can be caught like ghosts. Its effect when directed at humans is complete proto-ectoplasmic conversion, effectively making them living ghosts. A person in this state will destabilize completely within 24 hours, entering the netherworld. The only known way of stabilizing someone is with a molecular phase amplifier(also known as a destabilizer rectifyer unit). The twin beam of the destabilizer is effective even when knocked back by a demon.
Description
Built like a rifle and attached in the same way as the Neutrona Wand usually is to a Proton Pack. Where the Destabilizer connects to the hose, there is a coil wrapped round much like a electromagnet.
