Dopey Dog was one of the cartoon creations of Walt Fleischman. His archenemy Winchester Wolf once held Fleischman prisoner in the cartoon world and had the poor guy endure years of slapstick-style torture. Eventually, the Ghostbusters entered the cartoon world and saved Fleischman with help from Dopey Dog and other creations of the cartoon genius. After returning to the real world, Walt Fleischman gave Ray Stantz a Dopey Dog doll.
