Ecto-5 (also known as Ecto-M) [1] is a modified motorcycle used by the Ghostbusters.
History
Dana Barrett, possessed by one of Tiamat's Terror Birds, called up Peter Venkman at the Firehouse in order to lure the Ghostbusters into a meeting. Peter, without making his usual remarks, leaped out of his office and rode the Ecto-5 out to the Upper West Side, right up to the entrance of Dana's apartment building. The others followed the tracking device on the motorcycle right to Peter. When Winston Zeddemore came back from the dead, he took Ecto-5 and drove across town to try in vain to protect Tiyah Clarke from Tiamat. The other Ghostbusters tracked down Winston through the Ecto-5's homing beacon.
Trivia
- The Ecto-5 is visually inspired by the Ghost Blastin Buster Bike toy from Figures and Vehicles set of the Trendmaster Extreme Ghostbusters line but recolored.
- The tracking device was the first thing done to the motorcycle. [2]
