Elmo's Hill is a rural part of New Jersey.
On October 30, 1938, Anson Bell directed and narrated "War of the Worlds" over the radio. He read 'reports' of a Martian invasion that established a beach head at Elmo's Hill. A Martian scout ship landed, left, and crashed in Elmo's Hill after it intercepted the transmission of "War of the Worlds" and thought it was real.
In the late 1980s to early 1990s, a cable company unearthed the ship and caused the manifestation of three Martian Phantasms. Jenkins, a farmer, hired the Ghostbusters, who captured two of the three ghosts. After watching the third vanish in the explosion of its Martian Ship, they wrote up the bill and left Elmo's Hill.
- Elmo's Hill is a stand in for Grover's Mill, where the radio version of "War of the Worlds" took place.
