Fernando the Janitor[1] was a janitor employed at the Stonebrook Theatre. He appears in the 2016 movie.

Fernando was attacked when Mayhem came out of a wall vent. It started tossing him around the room. The only reason he survived was because of Jonathan the Theater Manager. Jonathan screamed and the entity was scared off. Fernando was taken out on a stretcher by paramedics as the Ghostbusters arrived. He thought it was the Devil and mumbled "Diablo" repeatedly. Jonathan touched his left shoulder as they passed. Erin Gilbert interpreted what he said as, "There's a chicken frying itself in the library." Patty Tolan didn't believe that was correct at all.
