The large duffel bag was primarily used by Jillian Holtzmann, but it was also used by Abby Yates. The large duffel bag was first grabbed by Holtzmann on the way to go investigate the Aldridge Mansion Museum. A large duffel bag was also used on the Seward Street Subway Station case as part of the Proton Box, on the cart to store unknown parts of the device. The bag, along with the cart, was lost to the subway express train that hit it. On the Stonebrook Theatre case, the large duffel bag had added caution stickers and the team's trademark orange stripes. Abby carried it to Ecto-1. Holtzmann carried it into Stonebrook. When the Ghostbusters confronted Rowan North for the first time, the same large duffel bag was brought by Holtzmann.

Holtzmann took the large duffel bag out on the Stryker Beach Golf Course case. She produced the Ghost Chipper from it and shredded the Stryker Golf Ghost.
