Fiorello La Guardia is a dead former mayor of New York that talked to Mayor Lenny in Ghostbusters II. Not much is known, except that they talked for an hour. Presumably, his term of office oversaw transit authority's closure of a subway railroad, circa 1938. The spot-Ray described as such-was revisited forty years later, investigating the subterranean slime river.
History
Fiorello La Guardia actually in real life was the mayor of New York from 1934 to 1945. One of New York City's commercial airports is named in his honor.
