Not to be confused with Firehouse
The Firehouse is the recently restored headquarters of the Ghostbusters.
Gameplay[]
Catt Delgado is often in "The Hub," the office area of the first floor. Jobs can be accessed from the front desk as well as inviting friends and setting jobs to private if desired. Side Hustle Contracts can be looked at from file on a table off to the side near staircase and basement entrance. Between the job desk and Ecto-1, there's a seating area where Ghostbusters can check out cutscenes. In the garage bay, Ghostbusters can head to the lockers and customize their ensemble, including head wear, eye wear, the uniform, pads, gloves, and foot wear. The basement is still stocked with a Containment Unit for captured ghosts to be stored between jobs. There are also assorted gear stored in the basement along with an auxiliary Containment Unit and vault serving as a testing area.
Upstairs in the lab, formerly the sleeping quarters, Ghostbusters can go to the Workbench to view and equip gear attachment upgrades, talk to Eddy Chan, and view Research Contracts near the door at an old computer. On the main part of the second floor, Ghostbusters can access the training manual or check on their spores, mold, and fungus collection. After Patch 1.3.0 and after a player reaches level 100, they can activate the tenure system at the shelf of folders by the billiards table. The Arcadegeddon arcade game was also updated to display high scores.
In the alley, Ghostbusters can go to the Workbench to view and equip gear attachment upgrades. There is also an Alley Firing Range. There are some makeshift targets set-up to allow Ghostbusters to test out their gear, more specifically, the Particle Thrower. Recruits are asked to be mindful of the neighbors because if there are too many more complaints, the city might start issuing fines.
History[]
Winston purchased the Firehouse and had it refurbished in his bid to restart the Ghostbusters company. Some time later, he told a new trainee the Firehouse was still a work-in-progress and really wanted it to be the jewel in the crown of the team. While the trainee was out on a job, Winston went down to the basement to fill out the maintenance report out of habit. The trainee came down some time later to deposit the contents of an old Trap sent to them by Peter Venkman. Nameless erupted from the Containment Unit and possessed Winston. Catt "convinced" Nameless to let Winston go with her Proton Pack but he was stuck in Winston's body. The possessed Winston was tied to an office chair and taken up to the lab for tests, including Aura Video-Analyzer. Eddy used the Kinetic Endothermic Actuator but it failed. He integrated the Binding Relic into the Actuator and tried again. It worked and Nameless was safely extracted. Winston replied he felt like he just got out of the longest shareholder meeting of his life. Ray was happy to have him back. Winston thanked Ray and asked for someone to get Peter on the phone. Down in the office, Winston announced the training period was over. Nameless assumed Winston was firing them. Winston asked for someone to remove Nameless from the room. Eddy stated the entity had to be under constant observation. Winston announced the trainee was now an official Ghostbuster. He suggested they all go out for pizza but a new job came up and the newly graduated trainees took off.
Due to power issues caused by Nameless, Eddy moved construction of the Rift Gate to the sub-basement. Once completed, everyone gathered to banish Nameless once and for all. Instead, several ghosts crossed over and wrecked havoc in the Firehouse. Catt and the rookie opened fire on them on the first floor. Ray activated the P.K.E. Meter's taser and dissipated the Minion Ghosts summoned. Meanwhile, Samhain crossed through the gate and was less than pleased with Nameless's predicament. He absorbed Nameless and his energy then departed the building. After the rookie was made a full-time Ghostbuster, Winston revealed the Spenglers were coming to town. Catt made a note to prepare the third floor for them. Eddy was shocked there was a third floor. Ray revealed he was going to have a "summer intern." Winston suggested getting dinner but the alarm rant. A team of Ghostbusters departed in Ecto-1.
