The Frog Ghost was at one point going to be part of the Subway scene in Ghostbusters II.[1] However, Ivan Reitman removed him from the Subway scene saying the creature wasn't scary enough.[2][3]

Behind the Scenes[]

The Frog Ghost animatronic puppet was controlled with a WaldoŽ device built at The Creature Shop. It controlled the brow and jaw. A joystick controlled eye movements and performed blinks.[4][5]

Tongue and arms controlled by the poor fool inside! Shot for, but not included in the final film. Ivan Reitman claimed it wasn't "scary" enough!"

This looks totally like it could be out of a Ghostbusters movie.' But they'd already made their decision."
