Not to be confused with fan website Ghostbusters News.

Ghost News[1][2] website (styled GN ghostnews) was a website run by Abby Yates. Ghost News website was noted in Chapter 03, with more details noted in the deleted scene "Erin Gets Fired", and appears on Abby's laptop screen in Chapter 12.

While at the Kenneth P. Higgins Institute, Abby started a website to archive ghost sightings and theories on ghosts. The ghost sighting footage that had Erin Gilbert in it from the Aldridge Mansion Museum case made the rounds online. The video was re-blogged from Ghost News on Reddit. Dr. Bronstein saw it on Reddit and brought it to Dean Harold Filmore's attention. Erin was fired from Columbia University. Later, Abby was viewing the Eyewitness Sightings page on the website as she was noting a rise in ghost sightings across the city. On Friday, Twitter user @loganmichael reported he saw a polar bear ghost at Park Avenue and 45th on his morning commute. On Monday, Twitter user @monicacumming reported he saw a five story tall wailing spirit at 6th & 26th outside her apartment building and it looked right in her window. On Wednesday, listentome user tonymartin reported something.

After Jennifer Lynch publicly discredited the Ghostbusters, Abby took a moment to remind everybody that in a very short amount of time, they encountered multiple Class 4 malevolent apparitions so they shouldn't care what anybody else said about them. She remembered the latest reports and walked to the laptop on the other side of the table. She read them off, a wailing spirit sighted at 6th and 26th, a spectral polar bear on 63rd and 5th, and a weeping wall in the thrift store at Chelsea at 10th Avenue and 18th. Something about the locations clicked with Erin. She discovered all the sightings of ghosts were on the city's Ley Lines.
