Plot[]

Ray Stantz, Phoebe Spengler, and Podcast were taken to a police station following an incident at the New York City Public Library. Winston Zeddemore, Callie Spengler, Gary Grooberson, and Trevor Spengler came to bail them out. Winston was incensed over Phoebe destroying one of the iconic lion statues with a Proton Stream since it was one of the few things kids loved about the library. He questioned why she shot the lion despite her claim she loved the library, too. Phoebe replied it was her job. Winston exclaimed she had no job. Mayor Walter Peck gloated and complimented Phoebe. Winston tried in vain to get Peck to dial it back after he called her a bookworm. Peck recalled he was waiting 40 years to say the Ghostbusters were finished. He informed them the Firehouse was condemned, the Proton Packs would be melted down to scrap the next morning, and his next target was Ecto-1. Phoebe stood up to Peck and reminded him what happened the last time he tried to shut down the Ghostbusters, he created a cross-rip into another dimension. Ray was pleased. Peck interpreted Phoebe's words as slander, a crime punishable by time in prison. He asked if she was going to behave or if he needed to have her arrested.

Phoebe was arrested again. Gary and Callie came to collect her. Gary admitted they thought she would have chosen "behave." Phoebe wanted to skip the lecture and be grounded. Callie informed her she was fired. Phoebe snapped back she would be their secretary if she was not a Spengler. Gary reminded her she was talking to her mother and being a Spengler doesn't equate to being a genius just a part of the family. Phoebe asked if he was. Gary told her if she was not being so selfish she would see they were doing everything they could to protect her. He yelled at her to wake up. She stormed out. Gary felt horrible but Callie consoled him. In the stairwell, Ray excitedly briefed Winston on the Orb of Garraka but the latter was angry. Winston told Ray to shut up and pointed out he could have gotten himself and the kids hurt. He implored Ray to take a vacation and enjoy his golden years. Ray stated he already was enjoying his golden years doing what he loved. Winston pleaded with him to find a new way to do things he loved before it got him killed.

Gary pulled up to the Firehouse where Lucky, Lars, Trevor, and Nadeem Razmaadi were waiting. The building was already sealed up by the police. Trevor tore the police warning off the door and Callie had Phoebe pick the lock. They soon discovered the Proton Packs were confiscated just as Mayor Peck claimed. Lars noted it was called "civil forfeiture." Nadeem was amazed by a fire pole. Trevor told him he should try it. Callie asked who he was. Nadeem explained he had a potential deep well of P.K.E. and was quite possibly possessed. He asked if he could try the fire pole. Callie told him to knock himself out. Phoebe realized it was their last night at the Firehouse. Callie went to her bedroom to pack. Gary revealed he wanted to stay and fight for it because it was their home. He started quoting lines from the "Ghostbusters" song and convinced her to stay, too. He added "busting make me feel good" and Callie told him to get out. Lars scanned the Containment Unit but he was startled when Nadeem came down and shouted in amazement at how trashed the room was. Lars implied it would not if a certain orb stayed in its rightful place. Ray confronted Nadeem about his legacy. Ray cited his Dadi was the guardian of the Orb and the last line of defense but it was now his turn. He speculated she either never told Nadeem about the Fire Masters or he was not listening. Ray pointed out he tried to sell his heritage for $50 but it was time to claim his destiny.
