The following are scenes seen in videos like trailers, B-roll, special features, print, still photos or mentioned in interviews not released in Special Features.
- In the 1904 opening scene, at least one of the Hook & Ladder Company 8 firefighters' parts was "cut way down" from what was filmed.[4]
- During re-shoots in December 2023, a scene was filmed in downtown Atlanta in front of the Fulton County Government Center at 100 Peachtree Street SW. Craig Goldberg, Abigail Gardner, and Jacob Walsh were three of the background extras. The scene was to be used as cutaways of citizens stopping and reacting to the Sewer Dragon flying straight up out of the manhole.[5][6][7][8]
- Brian Quinn was set to portray a New York double-decker tour bus operator during the Sewer Dragon chase. He would have said something to the effect of, "And there go the Ghostbusters, you know, still busting ghosts," to convey how banal the process of ghostbusting had become to New Yorkers. It was cut for budgetary reasons.[9]
- The NY1 News report was a late addition in post production that replaced a segment of Mayor Walter Peck providing the lines that recaps the events of the past movies. The Mayor's office scene changed many times in order to strike a balance between jokes and story.[10][11]
- In the domestic trailer, released on January 29, 2024, there is a voice-over from Mayor Peck. Peck's line is, "They called themselves Ghostbusters. According to these hacks, they saved the world. No eyewitnesses. And who is found to carry the torch? Descendants of Egon Spengler."
- At the 24 second mark of a Screen X trailer released by Major Films, Winston Zeddemore was present in the Mayor's office to the right of Gary Grooberson.
- In the domestic trailer, released on January 29, 2024, at the 34 second mark, after Phoebe Spengler admits the Proton Packs aren't completely safe, there is a segment that takes place after Gary approaches the Mayor's desk. Mayor Peck, now standing, tells the Ghostbusters, "The Ghostbusters are finished". Gary counters, "Well, overruled." Trevor Spengler chimes in with, "Sustained!" Gary turns and tells him, "Thank you."
- The Police Chief had one line according to Chris Tummings, the actor who portrayed him.[12]
- At the beginning of the international trailer, released on January 29, 2024, there is a voice-over of Ray Stantz saying, "We've all had experiences and encounters with the unknown. And the unexplainable. Here we pay top dollar for your possessed possessions." There is also a brief exterior shot of a person with a doll stepping into Ray's Occult Books to join the line for "Repossessed" at the 8 to 12 second mark the trailer.
- There were more shots of Podcast smashing items that were deemed to not be possessed.[13]

Ray notes, "I've never seen anything like this at all."
- There was an effect shot of the jar of Psychomagnotheric Slime in the basement.[14]
- At the 23 to 24 second mark of the domestic trailer, released on January 29, 2024, there is a different shot of Trevor sitting down in the Firehouse attic when he investigates for the first time and looking at copies of Time, Omni, and The Atlantic Monthly issues that released in 1984, seen in the first montage of the first movie. He also sees a photo of the Ghostbusters that is one of the promotional photos taken during filming (or in-universe outside 550 Central Park West in 1984).[15][16]
- At the 0:10 mark of the TV spot "Marshmallow" released on March 11, 2024, there is a shot of Trevor in the attic saying, "That's going to be the last sound you ever hear." This line is not in the "Headlines" deleted scene.

- During the chess game in Washington Square Park, Melody has an alternate line of "Oh, don’t worry. I get it. I’m like a hundred years old. You got a name?" instead of "I've had a lot of time to practice. So, got a name?"[17]

And it was gonna be a quick moment where this guy is like, "And there go the Ghostbusters, you know, still busting ghosts." It was gonna show how banal the process of ghostbusting had become. The thing is, we ended up not being able to shoot that whole bus because I ran out of money for that sequence and had to find ways to save money. And this bus was a big-ticket item, so that had to get cut. So then I just kept trying to find ways to put Brian (Quinn) in the movie, and none of them ever worked out."

Yeah, because it originally came from the Mayor. And it was too much Mayor. It just felt like a character telling you everything. We found a way to a) come out of the Sewer Dragon scene organically through a news clip and sort of roll the news clip to give you some background to catch you up. It's almost like you're taking the roller coaster up. Tik tik tik tik and this is the top. Ok, here's where we all are. Right after that we go for the whole ride."

In the script, Venkman is only supposed to throw the pen at Nadeem once, but because Bill does it in different ways and do them at different times, when you took some of the dialogue out you still needed to convey what's happening with the fire."
