On October 28, 2023, it was claimed the first trailer releases on November 10, 2023 with theatrical showings of "The Marvels".[1]
On October 31, 2023, a short Halloween themed clip of the new logo appeared on Ghostbusters social media that teased "something strange is coming soon."[2]
On November 6, 2023, a classic logo with ice shards approaching it with the line "there's a chill in the air" appeared on Ghostbusters social media.[3] It was claimed the trailer is 2 minutes and 5 seconds and releases this week or early next week.[4]

On March 12, 2024, a 39 second clip featuring Hubert, Ray, Phoebe, and Podcast reading about the lore of Garakka and the Death Chill was shown near the end of Patton Oswalt's appearance on the March 12 episode of The View.[211] Ernie Hudson appeared on The Today Show. Just after the start of Hudson's segment, a 23 second clip was shown of Winston, Ray, and Janine suited up in the garage bay ready to shoot something trying to open the locked door but learn it is only Peter.
