Ghostbusters Fan Fest was a event that took place on June 7th and 8th of 2019, organized by Wizard World.

Notes[]

  • Kato Kaelin, best known for his part in the O.J. Simpson murder trial, "hosted" the event. He is the blonde guy in the Ghostbusters jumpsuit seen in some of the videos in the video gallery section below.
  • Sophia Temperilli moderated these outdoor panels: "Here To Save The World Again: A Real Ghostbusters Reunion", "Ghostbuster's Daughter: A Conversation with Violet Ramis Stiel", and "Along For The Ride: A Conversation With Actors From Ghostbusters & Ghostbusters II".
  • Anthony Breznican from Entertainment Weekly moderated these outdoor panels: "Ghostbusters Directors Panel" and "Reflections on the 1984 Ghostbusters".
  • For the "How'd They Do That?" panel, it appears that most of the named panelists were absent. Only appearing in the videos are (unknown), Richard Edlund, and Sheldon Kahn; with an appearance from Billy Bryan in the audience.
  • Shown at the "How'd They Do That?" panel were two clips from a workprint copy of Ghostbusters. One clip is from when Dana opens her fridge, the other is from Stay Puft's debut. The Stay Puft clip has an extra line from Ray ("It was on all of the packages") and ends at the "EPA" deleted scene (as this was the source used for the 1999 DVD).
  • The "I Ain't Afraid of No Toys" panel was an interview with Kenner designer Mark Boudreaux, moderated by an unknown person, while toy images and commercials were shown on the screen above them.
  • The guests that showed up for the "Along For The Ride" panel were (from L-R): (BEHIND COUCH): Tom Morga (GB1 Ramis Stunt Double), John Bruno (Art Director/Visual Effects), and Timothy Carhart (GB1 Violinist). (ON COUCH) Tony Cecere (stuntman), Mark Bryan Wilson (GB1 Slimer), Robin Shelby (GB2 Slimer), Jim Fye (GB2 Statue & Jogger & Tony Scoleri), Steven Tash (GB1 Male Student), Jennifer Runyon (GB1 Jennifer), and Tim Lawrence (GB2 Nunzio Scoleri). Later joined by Steve Johnson (GB1 Effects) and Billy Bryan (GB1 Stay Puft).
  • The dailies shown during the "Lost 1984 Footage" panel with Jason and Ivan Reitman were found in a mine in Kansas. These include the following five clips:
    • 1. Mayor's Office Alternate Takes: Nerve Gas, No Genitalia, Have Peck Over For Lunch/Whatta Ya Got.
    • 2. Louis, Egon, Janine in Firehouse Alternate Takes.
    • 3. Dana's Apartment Alternate Takes.
    • 4. Ray Drinks Near LED Machine Deleted Scene.
