Ghostbusters II Film Merchandise Wave was based on features of the Ghostbusters actors, as well as a huge emphasis on Slimer, the star of the animated series at the time.
While the items were marketed for the second film, they usually were modeled after The Real Ghostbusters and its already established merchandise producers.
