Trevor blasts the silo capacitors. Callie triggers the Trap Field. Gozer, Zuul, Vinz Clortho, the Psychokinetic Atmospheric Influence and the P.K.E. Wisps are all trapped.

Note: In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, Trevor Spengler states he is 18 years old during the Sewer Dragon bust and Walter Peck finds out Phoebe Spengler is 15 which indicates three years have passed between Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. During the NY1 News report, Pat Kiernan mentions it is summer. Lars Pinfield mentions the Containment Unit compiled 40 years worth of spiritual waste. The present day events of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire takes place in the summer of 2024. In Total Film #348 (March 2024), Gil Kenan mentions the story takes place "within the confines of just a few days of the summer."
- Day One: The Ghostbusters pursue the Sewer Dragon in Ecto-1 through SoHo in Lower Manhattan. Phoebe Spengler disobeys Callie Spengler and Gary Grooberson and goes out on the gunner chair, causing property damage. Callie traps the Sewer Dragon with the Drone Trap. Gary takes evasive action and plows a row of rental bicyles at City Hall Park.

Winston Zeddemore warns Ray Stantz to find a new way to do what he loves before it kills him.

- Night Four: Phoebe Spengler sneaks over to Washington Square Park. She and Melody go to the Paranormal Research Center. Phoebe uses the Ionic Separator to ghost-walk for two minutes but learns it was a ruse. Garraka takes control of her spirit form and body and has her say the chant to free him. Lucky Domingo intervenes but the Proton Stream fails to affect Garraka and she is nearly frozen.

- Day Five: Callie Spengler and Gary Grooberson arrive at the the Paranormal Research Center to collect Phoebe Spengler.

Lars Pinfield encounters Pukey outside Trevor Spengler's bedroom on the third floor and is slimed. Phoebe Spengler confronts Melody in the basement and tells her she has to move on herself. Garraka arrives and his ghost army erupts from the Containment Unit.

Melody sparks a flame with her match and Nadeem Razmaadi uses it to attack Garraka and thaw everyone out. Phoebe resumes blasting Garraka. Callie, Gary Grooberson, and Trevor come to her aid. Ray Stantz, Peter Venkman, Winston Zeddemore, and Janine Melnitz use the Containment Unit to trap Garraka.
