Proposing a change in Video Game Spoiler Policy

There have been two recent mobile games that were released and a third on the way. The policy was set up for console video games which have limited download content and large amounts of in game spoilers and sell for a long period of time. Mobile phone games pretty much sell within a month or two, and most of the sales are in the first two weeks. The Beeline game being dependent on DL sales on add-ons and boosts and is free to get, it makes zero sense to have it wait 4 months. I say give mobile games a 1 or 2 month spoiler time instead of 4. The idea of the policy was to protect the sony license and allowing things to remain unknown so people have stuff to discover. Mobile games don't seem to work from the same marketing and building articles on them may actually help keep interest going.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  03:24, January 17, 2013 (UTC)

Good idea. Let's try a one month wait period instead of four. Mrmichaelt (talk) 04:17, January 17, 2013 (UTC)
1 month spoiler sounds great. Games effected (PKE Meter Ghost Hunter (Mobile app)) and (Ghostbusters Beeline (Mobile app)).  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  05:31, January 17, 2013 (UTC)
I agree. IOS games aren't usually that important anyway. SonofSamhain (talk) 16:14, January 17, 2013 (UTC)
It's a go then! ;)  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  01:43, January 19, 2013 (UTC)

Print Merchandise

It may at first seem a bit of a stretch, but if the main selling point of a item is design on a card, a poster, a printed cardboard like item then this may be important. Coming to mind Ghostbusters Playing Cards by Albino Dragon and Cryptozoic Entertainment's Ghostbusters Board Game (part of the selling point is the cards for the ghosts), we are getting closer to coming into this issue. Suggested Spoiler:

Print Merchandise
The Rule for printed items is only to present a synopsis (and any other information the developer has posted) about the item(s) and to only use photos provided by the promoter/ developer (other than edits of said photos). This will remain so the first four months after the item(s) have been released. This also means no adding content on other articles that may reveal information that ruins it for sale.

Anyways, I think four months will be long enough.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  18:53, February 15, 2015 (UTC)

Sounds good to me. Mrmichaelt (talk) 04:07, February 16, 2015 (UTC)
