Vinz Clortho, called the "Key Carrier", is an extradimensional demonic entity, from the guardians of Gozer, who manifests himself coming out of the interior of a gothic statue similar to a gargoyle dog at the top of the Shandor building. Apparently a male entity with longer horns, Vinz Clortho owns the body of Louis Tully (Rick Moranis), a fumbling counter-neighbor to Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver), possessed by another similar creature called Zuul. Servant of Gozer, an even more powerful entity, a mating ritual between Vinz Clortho and Zuul opens the dimensional portal to the Temple of Gozer, where the entity is released in this plane, and manifests first in the form of a woman, then in form chosen by its victims.
