Katherine Spengler is Egon Spengler's mother. She talks by phone with him atleast once every six months.
Personality
She is a very motherly person, as she also treats the other ghostbusters like her children as well. Janine and her seem to get along pretty good as well. She is a very supportive character.
In her first appearance she had a comically shrill voice and was a bit overzealous in her concern for the boys, to the point of asking if they were all wearing clean underwear. Here she was voiced by legendary comic actress Rose Marie
In her second appearance when she came to help Egon with his cold, her demeanor was notably different. Here she's more phlegmatic, like her son. She also exemplified elements of a stereotypical Jewish mother by uttering phrases like "My son, the comedian".

- "Til Death Do Us Part" she came in and was the secretary til Janine came back.
- "Ghostworld" she comes to the firehouse to take care of her sick son. She ends up helping the ghostbusters bust Karro Zans. When the others catch Egon's bug, she sticks round treating them like her own son.
