Nadeem's Apartment is the home of Nadeem Razmaadi and is B3 of an unnamed apartment complex in Queens, New York.
History[]
Primary Canon History[]
Before Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire[]
At some point, Nadeem Razmaadi's Dadi lined a secret room behind her apartment's pantry with brass and stored various objects, instruments, chains, Fire Master armor, and the Orb of Garraka in it. In 2024, Dadi passed away and Nadeem became the sole occupant. He discovered the secret room while he was looking for Pop-Tarts.[3][4]
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire[]
In the summer of 2024, Lucky Domingo, Lars Pinfield, and Trevor Spengler went to Nadeem's apartment in search of more details about the Orb of Garraka. He let them in once they clarified they weren't interested in a refund. Nadeem told them he had a lot to sell and he was a licensed third party reseller of sneakers. He asked Trevor what his shoe size was. Trevor answered he was a ten. Nadeem knew he had none and offered him an eight to no avail. Lucky took a liking to Nadeem's grandmother's favorite art because of the "nipple stuff." Nadeem recalled it was his grandmother's favorite so he couldn't part with it then asked what her offer was. Trevor asked what his grandmother's deal was. Nadeem recalled they weren't close because she found him unambitious but he asked who was braver, his brother who went to engineering school or he for forging ahead with no education or future prospects. Trevor favored the latter. Lars steered the discussion to the orb.
Nadeem remembered that was from the secret room where all the really good stuff was but he was not supposed to let anyone in. He showed them the secret room. Lucky complimented him on the "sex dungeon" and for his grandmother's taste. Lucky looked at a pair of horns. Nadeem offered to sell anything they were interested in. Lucky asked Lars if the whole room was brass or copper. Lars recalled brass was believed to be a magical alloy that trapped demons and tales dated back to the time of Solomon. Lucky scanned the armor. Trevor played a string instrument and noticed the room had no echos like a dead room. Lucky teased grandma could be as loud as she wanted. Nadeem asked them to stop making sex jokes about his recently deceased grandmother. Lars speculated the room kept the orb quiet.[5] Everyone became concerned when Lucky picked readings off Nadeem with a P.K.E. Meter. The next day, Garraka froze the front door and burst through the doorway in his ethereal form. He manifested his physical form, scratched a framed photograph of Dadi and Nadeem, and went into the hidden brass room. He reattached his horns and his full power was restored. The room froze as his eyes lit up.
Trivia[]
- Nadeem's apartment was a set at Farnborough Film Studios in the United Kingdom.[Note 1]
- A cat face was drawn over the front door's peephole on the exterior side, while the cat's rear end was drawn on the peephole on the interior side of the door.
- A last second addition, the cat on Nadeem's front door was drawn by Gil Kenan based on a doodle his wife used to do for their daughter Una and later a quilt business called Hopewell.[6][7]
- In the living room are:
- Various Nike and Puma shoes.
- A X-Rocker gaming chair.
- A Sony Playstation 5.
- Nadeem's video game is a modern take on Thou Art Dead, which appeared in Gil Kenan's first movie "Monster House".[8]
- A drawing of the back of the cat being on the inside of Nadeem's front door was an idea from storyboard artist Heiko von Drengenberg after he saw the cat drawing on the outside of the front door described in the script.[9]
- In the deleted scene "News Report," Shelby Blutarsky's live report was filmed in front of E Smoke & Convenience at 79-20 Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights in Queens. Nadeem sees the report and states that is where he lives.

When Lucky, Trevor, and Lars go see Nadeem, the script describes the face of a kitty drawn around the peephole (whoever drew the kitty on the door: Your drawing is way funnier than mine!). We see it again when Garraka comes for his horns. As I was drawing the kitty I amused myself by theorizing that there could be a kitty on the inside, but from behind. I made a quick drawing (2nd pic) and popped it off to Gil Kenan, the director."
