Omni is science fact and fiction magazine focused on an "original if not controversial mixture of science fact, fiction, fantasy and the paranormal" first published in October of 1978.

Ghostbusters (1984)[]
After the Ghostbusters garnered the press' attention following the Sedgewick Hotel bust, several newspapers and magazines published articles about them. The October 1984 issue's front cover featured a Proton Pack and Particle Thrower. The tagline read, "Quantum Leaps: Ghostbusters' Tools of the Trade". In late 1989, a copy of the issue was framed and put up on the wall in Peter Venkman's office area in the Firehouse.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Trivia[]
- At the 23 to 24 second mark of the domestic trailer, released on January 29, 2024, there is a segment of Trevor Spengler sitting down in the Firehouse attic when he investigates for the first time and looks at copies of Time, Omni, and The Atlantic Monthly issues that released in 1984. The segment was not used in the movie.

- The Omni magazine in Ghostbusters Issue #15 has a cover that features Robo-Buster from The Real Ghostbusters episode "Robo-Buster".
- On page 5 of Ghostbusters Year One Issue #1, in panel 3, at the news stand at the top right is the Omni magazine.
- On cover B of Ghostbusters Year One Issue #4, the top part of the Omni issue seen in Chapter 14: Welcome Aboard is at the top of the cover.
