Omni is science fact and fiction magazine focused on an "original if not controversial mixture of science fact, fiction, fantasy and the paranormal" first published in October 1978.
History
Primary Canon
After the Ghostbusters garnered the press' attention following the Sedgewick Hotel bust, several newspapers and magazines published articles about them. The October 1984 issue's front cover featured a Proton Pack and Particle Thrower. The tagline read, "Quantum Leaps: Ghostbusters' Tools of the Trade"

Walter Peck had a copy of an Omni issue in his office at the Paranormal Contracts Oversight Commission.
