The (Motorola MT500) Radio is the main form of communication between the Ghostbusters team when they are separated. It was most famously used in the scene at the Sedgewick Hotel where Slimer slimes Peter Venkman, while Ray Stantz tells him that it won't hurt him.

The Radio, when not in use, is stored on the right side of the Pistol Belt. In Ghostbusters: The Video Game (Realistic Versions), the Radio hangs off the left strap. In IDW Comics, on the ongoing series, it was stored on the right side of the Pistol Belt. From the Old Lady Myrtle case and on, it hangs off the right strap.
