The Sheriff met with Special Agent Melanie Ortiz outside a haunted construction site. He was surprised the FBI really did investigate the supernatural and it wasn't just a TV show. She explained that she worked with the Ghostbusters for a bit and currently evaluated paranormal cases when a FBI field office caught wind of something. The Sheriff unlocked the padlock and they went through the site. He only revealed a worked went missing. They soon encountered the ghost of Ethan Alder. They ran for it. The Sheriff lost his composure and almost drove off without Melanie. Several hours later, they met with Peter Venkman and Kylie Griffin as they got off their flight. While the equipment was loaded up, the Sheriff recognized the name "Ethan Alder" and remembered he was shot in 1964, the town kept it quiet to avoid publicity, and his house was burned down in 1970 or 1971. That night, the Sheriff found the actual bust to be rather anti-climactic. Suddenly, all of Alder's victims rose from the ground and thanked them. He was at a loss for words. Kylie suggested they get something to eat on his dime.
