The Skeleton Woman is a skeleton ghost taking on the form of a woman.

The Skeleton Woman first appeared after the battle with the ghosts on the possessed train. When the Ghostbusters stepped out, Peter Venkman noticed a woman standing all alone by the edge of the platform. He rushed over to offer aid. With its back turned to Peter, the grey haired young woman, dressed in a blue business suit, revealed itself as a grinning skeleton with orange red eyes. It then levitated above Peter laughing and growing in size until it exploded in a cloud of smoke.

  • In the first draft of the "Knock, Knock" script, the Skeleton Woman is the first entity the Ghostbusters encounter just as they arrive at the subway station.[1]
  • On page 10 of 35th Anniversary: Ghostbusters, in panel 5, behind the Ghostbusters, the Skeleton woman and a Possessed Subway make a non-canon cameo.
