Slimer's Recorder Pack is a small recording device that can be worn like a backpack.

History

Primary Canon

In search of the Ghostbusters, Janine Melnitz "convinced" Slimer to go into the Containment Unit and spy on the ghosts that were recently captured. Slimer succeeded and used his Recorder Pack to record a conversation between Street Thugs ghosts about Proteus and the Erie. Slimer raced back to the front of the unit and was released. Janine rewarded Slimer and took the pack off to review Slimer's recording.

While an alternate Ray Stantz observed Janine, the other Ghostbusters watched the live feed. Ray recognized the pack as the device that was invented in order to gather data from the interior of the Containment Unit[1] and realized Janine sent Slimer in for reconnaissance. Janine used the Banana 9000 to playback the captured audio. Both she and the Ghostbusters learned the primary threat was named Proteus and he was at the Erie.
