The Squid Monster was a squid-like entity trapped by Ghostbusters either before or during the Proteus incident.
History[]
The Squid Monster was one of the ghosts that chased Slimer when he was inside the Containment Unit trying to find out what happened to the Ghostbusters after Proteus defeated them. It tried to wrap its tentacles around the little spud, but Slimer managed to trick the creature into wrapping its tentacles around each other and tie them in a knot. It also appeared to be hostile toward other entities.
