The Sub Dwellers[1] (also known as Mole People)[2] are a group of people who live underneath New York City.
History[]
At some point, a group of people moved under New York City and named themselves the Sub Dwellers. They accumulated limited amenities such as television.[3] However, generations of Sub Dwellers that lived only underground developed a unique ocular feature. They were blind in direct sunlight.[4] They also developed several rules and taboo such as never bring "Sun Watchers" (or people from the surface) to their settlement.[5] Over time, they became an urban legend among New Yorkers and dubbed "Mole People."
In 1997, the Sub Dwellers were blamed for causing city-wide power outages. One of their leaders, Persefineathious' Father was arrested and taken into custody. Persefineathious knew the real culprits were Energy and Lightning Demons and sought the help of the Ghostbusters. One of the elders disapproved of their help and ordered them to leave. Some time later, Persefineathious returned to the settlement with Garrett Miller to warn them of the police. However, the same elder thought she betrayed them and led the police to their city. However, once the Ghostbusters captured the demons, Persefineathious led her father back to the others.
