The device that holds Slimer[]

Is there a name for it? I think I found the device as a cameo in Episode Afterlife in the Fast Lane, Brief cameo. One of the many devices seen when Louis and Janine are try to find the guys. link It is blue to the left.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  09:31, April 28, 2012 (UTC)

No, there is not a name for it. That is definitely the same device. Guess the general gave it to them as a memento or Peter took it to annoy Slimer with. I propose "B.U.F.O. Receptacle." Mrmichaelt 07:28, April 29, 2012 (UTC)
Works for me.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  07:48, April 29, 2012 (UTC)

How this should've been handled[]

What I would've liked to have seen done with this episode was have Peter being the only one happy enough to let the BUFO take Slimer. As the other Ghostbusters look on helplessly when Peck takes Slimer away from them, Peter just turns his back and quietly says "Good riddance..." Then, when he refuses to help the others save Slimer, Peter starts thinking about whether or not letting Peck and the BUFO take Slimer was the right thing to do. Finally, at the end, Peter catches up, saves Slimer, and humiliates Peck once again. That would've made the episode more enjoyable. FlapjackStantz (talk) 17:06, March 20, 2014 (UTC)

The episode clearly works the best it is. It was written with Peter as a supportive character, not a jerk. Even in the seasons when Peter was truthly the mouth, he ultimately always was supportive of Slimer. The episode Knock, Knock is a fine example of that. They used the Peter against Slimer thing only when it helped the plot anyways. By season 3, Slimer was more like a kid than a pet and it simply wouldn't work. Slimer has to be turned into a pet again before that could work. Peter and Slimer in seasons 3-7 are different from seasons 1 and 2 cause they ARE different. Writers are given bibles for the season with the notes on what is accepted and if the story goes to far off coarse it is automatically rejected.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  21:52, March 20, 2014 (UTC)
