Moved out of Trivia:

  • "This is one instance where continuity between the first film and the series is ignored, as this episode shows what is believed to be the car that would become Ecto-1 as it appeared in 1959, but at the time Ray purchased it in the film it was black. It may not be a complete continuity error, however, as it could be that the Cadillac was orignially white and eventually spraypainted black by another owner prior to Ray's purchase of it. It does seem odd, however, that it was white while it was being used as a hearse. Another possibility is mistaken identity, that the car they saw was not the same vehicle but simply another vehicle of the same model. Without the added equipment, the lights, the Ghostbusters logo, and the Ecto-1 license plate, you wouldn't be able to tell one from the other. [The only way one could know for sure is by comparing the VIN, which it may or may not have had, as VINs weren't required on vehicles until 1981, though some manufacturers already used them in the mid-1950s.]"

That is what a talk page is for. Cut this down. Seriously TL:DR.  Devilmanozzy (Talk Page)  20:35, June 16, 2012 (UTC)
