The Dakota (also known as Dakota Apartments) is a co-op apartment building located on the northwest corner of 72nd Street and Central Park West in the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City.
History[]
Ray Stantz and Peter Venkman ate hot dogs near the Dakota while discussing the day's bust and the issues brought on by the Ghost Smashers. Peter Venkman and Winston Zeddemore completed a case at the Dakota one night. Peter was not happy being slimed during the bust, prompting Winston to ask him why he didn't stay as the host of The World of the Psychic. Peter recalled some of the episodes and noted the coffee tasted like hot garbage. As they departed the Dakota, Peter requested they stop off at an all-night pharmacy to get some mouthwash to get the taste of slime out of his mouth.
