The Fairly OddParents[]

  • "Pipe Down!" (September 26, 2003, Season 3) - Timmy Turner's father yells at him for being terrible at charades, one of his complaints is demanding Timmy to tell him how imitating a rowboat means "Ghostbusters 2".
  • "Mr. Right" (March 19, 2004, Season 4) - Timmy's fairy godparents Cosmo and Wanda grant his wish of being always right while they still have roasted marshmallows on their wands, the result being a poof balloon reading "Stay Puff", in reference to the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
  • "Back To The Norm" (January 17, 2005, Season 4) - Norm the Genie (voiced by Norm MacDonald) channels Peter Venkman when he says, "I like this plan. I'm excited to be a part of it."
  • "Fairly OddBaby" (February 18, 2008, Season 6) - has the anchorman Chet Ubetcha say "Dogs and cats are living together! It's mass hysteria!", in reference to the Ghostbusters' rant about the fate of New York in the original movie.
  • "Poltergeeks" (August 15, 2011, Season 7) - The plot bares resemblance to the plot of Ghostbusters, and the equipment that Timmy's parents use resembles the equipment the Ghostbusters use.

The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish[]

  • "Battle of the Dimmsonian" (July 24, 2024, Season 1) - Hazel and Dev, both of whom have fairy godparents, join forces to wish that the spirit of Viozalia would return to the spirit realm. When Cosmo, Wanda, and Peri/Poof grant their combined wish, they spoof the scene in Ghostbusters in which the guys fire the initial shot at Gozer. "Grab your wand. Got 'em. Make a wish! Wishin'. Let's show this middle-American demigod how we do things in Dimmadelphia!" The fairies then fire their wands at Viozalia, knocking her back through the portal to the spirit realm. Moments later, after everything is back to normal, Hazel's father arrives at the museum with his ghost-hunting equipment, which resembles a Proton Pack.
  • "The Haunting of Wells House" (August 1, 2024, Season 1) - After a haunted VHS tape of "Zombie Fairy of Midnight Hill" is played, the spirit of lead actress Pepperlyn Monroosevelt comes out of the television to haunt the Wells family's apartment. Hazel and her father Marcus break out his amateur ghost-tracking equipment, briefly seen in the previous episode "Battle of the Dimmsonian", which vaguely resembles a Proton Pack and a PKE Meter.
