The Ravishing Red Prince is a Cursed Artifact found in the Panic In Times Square level of Ghostbusters: The Video Game (Realistic Versions).

Description[]

This painting's image shifts unnaturally.

History[]

c.1954 Painted by the famed "Madman of the Hague," Remco de Groot. De Groot was infamous for supposedly using his own blood, and the blood of others, to construct his modernist masterpieces. This was later proven to be just a wild rumor, however.

Where to Find It[]

Realistic Version[]

In the Field: Hanging in the hallway just before you reach the room where the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is reaching for Dr. Selwyn. When you see Stay Puft walking past the windows, the hallway widens on the left and the painting is hanging on the wall.

At the Firehouse: On the first floor, hanging on the wall over the drinking fountain.

Secondary Canon History[]

The Ravishing Red Prince ended up in the lobby of the apartment complex where Dana Barrett lived at in 1989. As of the Tiamat incident, the Ravishing Red Prince was hanging up on the wall left of the Firehouse's office area.

Trivia[]

  • The painting's modern design and colors reflect similar characteristics to the famous artworks of Piet Mondrian (1872–1944). In particular, the painting is based on the 1920s "Composition" [1][2]
  • The glowing horned demon head in the painting is the same face as the gargoyle head from the Shandor building in the original Ghostbusters movie. It is seen coming loose in a violent rumble and falls from the building just before the voice of Gozer demands the Ghostbusters to choose its next form.[3]
