The Upper East Side Art Museum is a modern art museum located in the Upper East Side.
History[]
Elias J. Cornwall's art sculptures were rejected by the modern art museum. As a ghost, he manifested and attempted to exact his revenge by animating all of the priceless sculptures on display then letting them loose. The Ghostbusters were called to deal with him. On an upper level, Gary Grooberson noticed a sculpture and asked what it was. Callie Spengler called it "art" but he saw a pile but Trevor Spengler shouted "Dog!" and cut him off. Gary continued he was going to say it looked like dog poop. Trevor clarified he was being pursued by a giant sculpture that looked like a crude dog balloon. Callie opened fire and blew it up. Trevor mentioned the sign stated it was worth $58 million. Gary mused they were covered for "acts of dog." Cornwall believed it was good riddance to bad art. He boasted to them that he was the greatest sculptor the world had ever known. Trevor doubted it and Callie egged him on to prove it. He manifested a piece of his art. Callie was speechless about how bad it was. Gary thought it was better than the poop display. Callie looked down to the main floor and asked Phoebe Spengler if she was ready. Phoebe replied rhetorically asking if electrons were attracted to protons. Callie had no idea if that was a "yes" or "no." Phoebe shouted, "Yes!"
Cornwall realized the Ghostbusters were like the others and did not appreciate his masterpieces. Callie countered she did not like him attacking her family and she gave the signal. Callie, Trevor, and Gary wrangled Cornwall in Proton Streams then Phoebe deployed the Drone Trap. As he was pulled into the Trap, Cornwall bemoaned he never be appreciated. Phoebe joked he should have been a mathematician instead of a sculptor because his work was derivative. Gary thought she nailed it. Several reporters waited for them outside. A reporter asked them what happened inside. Another asked if anyone was in danger. A third reporter asked if the art was okay, Gary told them the art was mostly okay but thought "art" was a strong word for it. Callie cut in and summarized that the Ghostbusters saved the day again. She wanted to defer to Trevor and Phoebe and have them talk about the new Drone Trap but they left to her surprise. Gary reminded them it was spaghetti night. The Ghostbusters got a call from the museum's insurance company later that day but Callie never returned their call and left it on Janine's to-do list.
The Zeddemore Foundation made a donation to the museum that covered the cost of repairs and replacement of damaged art pieces.[1] After Captain Kidd was trapped, Winston Zeddemore served as the honored guest at the ribbon cutting ceremony marking the re-opening of the museum. Winston declared it was the first day in a new era of modern art in Tribeca. The off-duty Ghostbusters approached Winston. Callie apologized again for destroying something he had to pay for. Winston called it "peanuts" compared to the cost repairing the Earthy / Crunchy Health Foods store on Wall Street. He commended them for dealing with the pirate ghosts then had them come into frame for a group photograph. He told them to say, "Let's not bankrupt Winston!" Phoebe suggested, "Best Day ev-arrrrr" instead.
